The Master Potter
"Yet, O' Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand." -- Isaiah 64:8
Do you ever find yourself resisting the pressures in your life? Do you sometimes want to jump off the Potter's wheel and say I have had enough pain and turmoil in my life. I can take no more? Well, I think we have all been there, but our aim, if we wish to become a vessel of honor for God's use, is to submit to Him and to the experiences He allows in our lives. This is not always an easy task, but it is a necessary one. One that allows Him to shape our worthless bits and pieces of clay into a beautiful vessel to His glory and honor!
"Faith is the Lily's Root, and Love is the Lily's Bloom."
By faith, let your love for Christ be inflamed, and your knowledge of Him ever increasing. If you would have Him near unto you then your heart must be full of Him ... welling up with His love, even to overflowing.
This kind of love cannot be accomplished except by faith. If your faith is strong, then your love for Him will be fervent. If your love for Him seems cold, then you can be sure that your faith is drooping.
Why do I Love Jesus?
Because His greatness, in one resplendent light, combine to enchant the soul 'till it is so ravished that it exclaims ... "Blessed love is this -- a love which binds the heart with chains more soft than silk."
Works of Poetry
The Joy of Praise
I will sing of my Redeemer
And of His love for me ...
For upon a lonely cross, He suffered
That I might be set free.
I will praise the Lord my God
Of His mighty power to save
Of His wondrous victory
Over sin, death and the grave.
I will sing of my Redeemer
And will hold strong to His grace
He, from death to life hath brought me
How I long to see His face.
The Field of Promise
Are you downcast and troubled, O' Christian?
Then go quickly and glean this day
From those of His abundant promises
In the field where you pray.
Let the Lord restore and strengthen you
Let His sweet breath of mercy blow
Be not afraid, only believe
And in His love, grow and grow.
"I will help thee," saith the Lord
So now go on to that promise field
Gather His promises and make them your own
Yes, "Come" He said ... "Whosoever will."
